The Portraits Of Manhattan Series
This series of Manhattan Portriates started in 1958. I was visiting my artist uncle who lived in the city. The top left image was part of that original group. At the time I had been making Lino cut prints.

The paintings Central Park South 1, Central Park South 3, Central Park South 4 are variations which make up a sub-series. This is typical of my process.
The Plaza is a painting I reworked over many years. Variations and a print edition resulted. More recent paintings in the series are Manhattan Portraits 2008
